Lesson definitions:

Two-hour lesson:    Designed for the beginner, this class takes you on a thorough venture into the world of fly fishing.
An in depth explanation of fly fishing and fly fishing equipment, demonstration and practice of useful knots, basic entomology and fly indentification, basic to advanced casting techniques, handling and releasing fish, fishing etiquette and matching the hatch are all covered in these two hours. You will also receive a fly fishing handout which details many of the subjects covered in the class.

Four-hour lesson:    An in depth study of the sport, this class takes the novice angler to the next level.  This is a great lesson for people serious about learning to fly fish and those interested in getting fully geared up to tackle the waters on their own. Complete everything listed in the two hour class and learn ways to improve your game with advanced casting techniques, still water fishing strategy, fly pattern selection, reading water and advanced knot tying.

    Fly casting Class:   2 hours; maximum of 6 people;  $30

    Learn two important knots and get right to using the fly rod. You will perform at least four different casts that will be demonstrated and analyzed for you.

    Introduction to Fly Fishing: 3 hours; maxmum of 6 people; $45
   
An in depth explanation of equipment and general fly fishing knowledge, demonstration and practice of useful knots, basic entomology and fly pattern matching, several basic casting techniques, how to handle and releasing fish, fishing etiquette and more are all covered in these three hours.

General Information on Private lessons:
- Most classes meet 15 minutes prior to start time at the designated meeting area.
- Private lessons can be catered to your needs and be performed almost anywhere.
- The first 30 minutes to an hour of each class is spent in a classroom setting.
- Plan on 2.5-3hrs total time for the two-hour lesson and 4.5 hours for the four-hour lesson.
- Guests must provide their own transportation.
- What to bring: We fish in most weather. Class may start indoors and then be outside for the remainder. Please wear hiking shoes, sunglasses, hat, and be prepared for changing weather.

Wading Trips on Rivers and Streams:

Rowing Lessons
$200 for four hours

All full day guided trips are eight plus hour days including drive time. Full day trips include water-side lunch. Guided trips include: rod, reel, line, leader and flies. Wader and boot rentals are not available at this time. Guest is required to purchase license, provide lunch and transportation as necessary. Prices include tax.

Other notes: Please remember that this is your day and I will do my best to provide you with a custom designed trip. My focus is on teaching people to fly fish. Please make sure to let me know what you wish to get out of your experience. My preference is to use barb-less hooks and practice catch and release, so please be upfront about your intentions so we can plan accordingly.
