Hi my name is Jason Cross. It's probably important that you know a little bit about me before you dive into any of the great services I have to offer. First and foremost I am a husband and a father of two young boys. My wife, Emily works in Real Estate with the Muljat Group and is the most exceptional Realtor I know (and I know quite a few). She got there by realizing that there are a lot of people out there not doing that great of a job for their clients. So, she is out there helping others put down roots and I am home raising our two young boys. It's great.
We moved to Washington in 2005 to get a new start on life and to get away from the resort community lifestyle we had in Winter Park, Colorado. We do not regret our time in Colorado, but I do say that we do not look back. We are home in Washington! I lived in Colorado from 1993-2005 and successfully started, managed, and ran a fly shop and guide service for over 10 years. When you get into something like that it is purely out of passion and then it slowly changes over the years into real work. It was the dream job for many years, but I slowly moved away from doing what I love most, teaching poeple. That is why I started Angler on the Fly here in Washington. If you want to learn to fly fish I am your man. Whether it's technique, theory, fly patterns, setups, reading water, double haul, casting sink-tip, or knots I can help you. I am not the kind of guy you see lying on the bank of the Skagit or Sauk watching his clients fish! Nope, you hire me to give you knowledge and that is what you will get. I am crazy about steelhead. I don't think it is for everyone, but it might be for you. I am a certified whitewater raft guide with an extensive knowledge in birds. To me the fishing is always good, the catching just might suck. I would rather float down a deserted river than line myself up elbow to elbow at a hatchery trying to nab my fish. Fishing is about so much more than the fish, but I do love those fish and I will try my hardest to catch them. I have great plans and they will slowly unravel and set deep roots here in the heart of Whatcom County! |
